Making all of your tomorrows better.

ABOUT US

We take pride in providing each client with personalized, evidence-based psychiatric care.  We strive to create a welcoming, respectful and safe environment.

My name is Valerie Ferrara and I am board certified as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. I began my nursing career in 2000 as a nurse in the hospital. I then completed a Master of Science in Nursing in 2009. I worked as a family nurse practitioner for 10 years before obtaining a Post Master’s education at Florida Atlantic University to become a Primary Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2019. I also have many years of addiction treatment experience both inpatient and outpatient.

My passion to work in psychiatry comes from the true joy that I get from watching someone get their life back. I love hearing “I feel like my old self again”.

“Your present circumstances don’t determine where you go; they merely determine where you start.”

“Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I will try again tomorrow.’ ”

— Mary Anne Radmacher

With more than 35 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I help individuals and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and practical strategies. I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Social Work in 1991 and have been a licensed practitioner since 1995.

My career has spanned a wide range of settings—medical social work, high-acuity mental health, forensic treatment in a high-security prison, comprehensive addiction recovery, and private practice. Early in my career, I supported patients and caregivers facing serious and life-changing illnesses, developing a deep commitment to helping older adults and families address age-related transitions with dignity, acceptance, and resilience.

As community mental health resources declined in the 1990s, my work expanded to include individuals with severe mental illness and complex behavioral needs. I later spent 15 years in a high-security correctional facility, specializing in the treatment of serious mental illness and personality disorders—work that strengthened my ability to address trauma, entrenched behavioral patterns, and emotional dysregulation with both empathy and structure.

I subsequently provided care in an integrated addiction treatment program, supporting clients across all stages of recovery. Throughout my career, I have maintained a private practice serving diverse populations through a personalized, solution-focused approach.

My therapeutic style blends Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with validation, gentle challenge, and supportive humor. I aim to help clients better understand themselves, strengthen coping skills, and create sustainable change while feeling heard, respected, and empowered. My approach is compassionate, pragmatic, and grounded in the belief that growth begins with being genuinely seen and accepted.

Dana Williams board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner at New Day Psychiatry

Dana Williams, DNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

I am a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner. My goal is to create a holistic and patient-centered experience for my patients to develop a caring and therapeutic relationship. I started my health care experience almost 20 years ago in Europe where I worked for the British National Health Service. After moving to the US in 2010 I completed my Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Florida Atlantic University.

I developed an interest in psychiatry when seeing patients as a Family Nurse Practitioner in an urgent care setting and realizing how many of my patients had undiagnosed mental health problems that were contributing to the deterioration of their physical health. I became passionate about wanting to improve their mental health. I never feel a greater sense of achievement than when I am able to support my patients to overcome their mental health struggles.

“You are not your illness. You have an individual story to tell. You have a name, a history, a personality. Staying yourself is part of the battle.”

— Julian Seifter

I’m a dual board-certified Nurse Practitioner in Adult-Gerontological (AGNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP) care, with over 25 years of experience in healthcare. My background includes 15 years of bedside nursing and 10 years as a Nurse Practitioner in interventional pain management, giving me a comprehensive foundation in both physical and mental health.

With a strong background in exercise physiology and health promotion, I take a holistic, evidence-based approach to care that emphasizes the essential connection between body and mind. My approach is rooted in the belief that the brain is an organ—just like the heart or lungs—and deserves the same level of care, respect, and treatment for optimal functioning.

I specialize in treating adults and adolescents with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, chronic pain, and mood disorders. My practice is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in collaboration—with patients and with other providers.

Whether you’re experiencing symptoms for the first time or navigating ongoing mental health challenges, I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel understood and empowered.

Mental wellness is a journey—and you don’t have to walk it alone. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that honors your experiences and supports your goals.

As a dedicated and licensed mental health counselor, I specialize in supporting children and families facing behavioral challenges that disrupt daily life. With over 20 years of experience working with clients ranging from ages 5 to 100, I have extensive expertise in addressing a variety of mental health concerns, including ADHD, OCD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, and more.
I am also an experienced parent trainer, committed to enhancing parenting skills and strengthening family dynamics. My practice extends to couples counseling and co-parenting support, ensuring that families navigate their unique challenges with understanding and compassion.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from Fort Hays State University in Kansas. Additionally, I have earned two master’s degrees—one in forensic science and another in mental health counseling—from NOVA Southeastern University in Florida.

My professional background includes over 17 years of experience in the court system, where I have worked in various capacities, including Domestic Violence Court, Family Court, and cases involving misdemeanors and felonies. I proudly served as the Director of the Guardian ad Litem Program for the 19th Judicial Circuit, advocating for children in the legal system.

My therapeutic approach is fluid and open, focusing on solution-oriented strategies that empower clients to understand and manage their mental health concerns. Through open dialogue and meaningful interactions, I strive to guide clients toward positive resolutions and a stronger, more productive family life.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience as a critical care nurse, caring for the sickest and most vulnerable patients in hospital and intensive care settings. I began my nursing career after graduating in 1998 and earned my Acute Care Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) degree in 2015. My extensive background in critical care has shaped both my clinical expertise and my compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals during some of the most difficult moments of their lives—experiences that require skill, calm, empathy, and trust. These experiences continue to influence how I approach mental health care and build therapeutic relationships with patients.

I practice within a private practice setting and ground my work in the recovery-oriented model, emphasizing self-sufficiency, personal responsibility, and meaningful goal setting. I believe that improving mental health is an active process that requires commitment and self-reflection, but no one should have to navigate that journey alone. My role is to serve as a guide—helping patients find direction and supporting them as they work toward lasting growth and stability.
